      Not anymore, sadly! I used to have a wonderful pet rabbit called Wuschel (not my choice of name!): I adopted her when I was around 8 because her original owners needed to move away. I managed to toilet train her to go to a litter tray like a cat and was very proud of that achievement (I must still be proud, otherwise I wouldn’t mention it here, I guess). I’ve been recently cat sitting a few times for my friends: Darwin is great but loves to chase feet, so you always have to watch out where you are going.

      I used to have a couple of cats, but have not replaced them after they died. so now just have 4 tortoises and a lot of fish. The Tortoises are real characters believe it or not. That is a whole other area of potential research. I have a colleague here who works on reptile cognition 9psychology) and is finding out amazing things about what they can do. check out her web page

      I’m lucky enough to have a beautiful collection of really nice critters all of which i use for my work. I’ve got 4 snakes, including 2 cornsnakes, a boa and a king snake, ive got 4 lizards as well, a leopard gecko, crested gecko, tokay gecko and chameleon, i’ve got a tortoise, 3 newts, a treefrog, hermit crab, cockroaches, stick insects, a giant and rainbow millipede, loads of giant snails including 2 huge great ones, a Tarantula and a scorpion!
