      In my opinion gesture and using the hands to communicate is a very effective method of communication. Deaf people, who cannot hear speech, can learn sign language. There are many different sign languages in the world and they are as rich and useable as spoken languages – people even perform sign language poetry, coming up with creative ways to use the signs of the language, like written poetry.
