I used to be fluent in French, somewhat fluent in Spanish, and knew some German, but have forgotten a lot of all three through disuse.

English is my native language. I used to be quite good at German and am working on it again (currently reading “Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen”!), and I also learned French in school.

Like Sophie I can also speak English, and get by in French. I used to be able to do sign language but I can just do basics now. If programming languages count then I can do a few of those!

English, and can get by in Spanish if nobody hurries me too much! From doing research in special education settings, I also know bits of Makaton (a simplified sign language). Makaton is commonly used with students who are still acquiring verbal language. Often we’ll use the English words and the signs at the same time.
