  Took me a while – I did biology, chemistry and physics at A level but I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with them. I started a Biology degree where we did a course on animal behaviour and that’s what interested me first in psychology, so I left university, worked for a while a applied for psychology courses. I loved studying psychology and was encouraged to apply for a PhD and that’s what got me into research.
