Generally, I’ll get to work with each child in our school studies every day for about a week. Often, I will have spoken to his/her teacher ahead of time, to learn a little about the child, likes/dislikes, and how best to work with her/him. So, I get to know them a little bit. Some past studies have been shorter (seeing children only 1-2 times each) or longer (several times a week over 3 months). Their teachers and other school staff members definitely know them much better than I do!
