      I didn’t really like science at school but I loved learning English! I’m from Germany and wasn’t really exposed to languages other than German as a child. So, being able to learn an entirely new language and use it blew my mind a little bit. Around that time (so when I was around 10), I also remember just being fascinated by language in general. Well, it seems to make sense that I went on to study linguistics and now my job is to find more stuff out about human communication, I guess!
